Hi, welcome to my home page. I'm currently a PhD student at Monash University, Australia.
Research My research is focus on Emotion-Based Music Classification. My official research web page is found here. By and large, music is used to express emotion. In addition, studies in music psychology research have shown that performers are able to communicate specific emotions to listeners. Therefore, empirical research in music psychology has focused on studying the influence of different perceptual music features on perceived emotional expression. However, Music Information Retrieval system that is able to automatically classify and retrieve different emotional expression in music pieces is still in its infancy. My research is focus on extracting all the perceptual features that have influence in perceived music emotion expression, and classifying music pieces to different emotional expression in music.
